EL RETIRO
In late 2025, Renato was appointed Chief Executive Officer of the privately held El Retiro Estate in Málaga, Spain, to lead the pre-opening phase of one of the most extraordinary hospitality and longevity projects. Set within a beautifully restored 17th-century Andalusian palace and surrounded by 14 hectares of one of Europe's most significant botanical gardens in the hidden hills of Málaga, El Retiro features a dedicated wellbeing area, where nature, science and tailored care come together. As CEO, Renato is responsible for overseeing the completion of the estate's transformation into an exceptional luxury destination. Working alongside a world-class team of hospitality visionaries, including renowned architect Jean-Michel Gathy, he leads the operational readiness, strategic planning, and guest experience development required to bring the owners' vision to life. His role ensures that every aspect of the estate, from its historic gardens and architectural treasures to its service philosophy and operational excellence, is prepared to deliver an unparalleled level of luxury from opening day.
ULYSSIA
As COO at Ulyssia Residences AG, Renato was instrumental in bringing to life the innovative vision of M/Y Ulyssia, the world’s most exclusive residential yacht community. Renato led the strategic planning and development of Ulyssia’s lifestyle offerings, designing exceptional experiences and integrating state-of-the-art amenities that set a new standard for luxury living at sea. His work included building strong partnerships and guiding a talented team to ensure every detail met the highest standards of excellence. Through his leadership and dedication, Renato shaped a community aboard M/Y Ulyssia that inspired exploration, fostered meaningful connections, and redefined modern luxury living. Renato remains an ambassador to this exceptional project.

CHEVAL BLANC HOTELS & RESORTS BY LVMH HOTEL MANAGEMENT
Renato, with a proven track record in the luxury hospitality sector, held key positions at LVMH Hotel Management, showcasing his leadership and operational prowess. Serving as General Manager in the Maldives from December 2013 to December 2016 for over 3 years, he played a pivotal role in overseeing the exquisite Cheval Blanc Randheli, a 45-key island resort that earned the esteemed title of 'World's Leading Luxury Private Island Resort' by the World Travel Award. Continuing his journey with LVMH, Renato ascended to the role of Vice President Operations for Asia & the Middle East, where he exhibited his strategic acumen and operational expertise from December 2016 to July 2019, contributing significantly to the growth and success of the ultra-luxury hotel collection.
THE WORLD
From 2007 to 2012, Renato held the prestigious position of General Manager aboard The World, the pinnacle of luxury living on the high seas. The World is the only private residential community-at-sea where its Residents may travel the globe without ever leaving home. Since it first set sail in 2002, she has visited over 800 ports in approximately 140 countries. With a continuous worldwide itinerary that enables the vessel to span the globe every two-to-three years, the Ship is a complete floating city, equipped with high-end facilities and luxurious amenities that create an intimate, refined atmosphere for Resident owners. This strikingly beautiful Ship promises gracious and personal service in a warm, inviting ambiance much like that of a private yacht, well-staffed private home or exclusive country club.
EARTH 300
Introducing Earth 300: a visionary initiative poised to redefine environmental action on a global scale. Our mission is as bold as it is urgent: to tackle both immediate and long-term challenges threatening our planet's health and humanity's survival. A project currently in the funding stage, Renato leads the advisory for the Hospitality section. The yacht aims to host 160 of the world's foremost scientists, collaborating to pioneer rapid, far-reaching solutions. Additionally, it will serve as an open-source platform for global scientific endeavors and a hub for citizen science and meaningful exploration. With 20 VIP guest cabins, Renato brings his expertise to this venture, offering a luxurious yet purpose-driven experience. Come aboard and help us protect the planet.
